Kimberly Odom, Head of Schools

Kimberly began her journey in education 13 years ago within the special education department. She has worked with kids ranging in ages from preschool through college; focusing on transitional components for students. Kimberly piloted an adult transition program at the local community college that successfully graduated students with an A.A. degree as well as provided community work opportunities. Kimberly came to California Virtual Academies in the fall of 2012 as an Education Specialist and was most recently the Director of Special Education for all CMS schools. She brings to the table her love for continued education as well as a strong focus in data driven student supports and achievement.

Melissa Garcia, Academic Administrator

Melissa received her Bachelor’s degree in communications from Arizona State University Arizona. She also received a Master’s degree in Organizational Management and Education through University of Phoenix. She completed her administrative credential and Master's in educational leadership through Azusa Pacific University. Melissa has over 18 years of working in education both at the secondary and post-secondary level. She enjoys working with high school students and seeing them reach new levels of success.
